Carson and Barnes Circus

I took the kids to the circus last night, they had a great time. Brianna gave her tickets to ride the camel and then back out....she got scared. Robert rode the camel, elephant, ponies. Selena rode the elephant twice!! Melvin for some reason did not ride on the elephant or the camel. He was more interested in going down the huge air up slide they had there, which I was never able to get a picture of him doing because he is just too fast for me, I think I got a picture of his back when he was walking up the air steps. He went four sessions worth. He really enjoyed the show though and was very ecstatic over the snake; which I was not going near or getting a picture of because I would have had to be near it!!!!not. Selena spent a lot of tickets for the air slide too. Brianna love the big air up thing the kids get to jump in, Robert enjoyed that too until another kid kicked him in the face...he was fine though. I for one had a good time aside from the snake of course. I enjoyed spending my evening with the kids there. They have to go home tomorrow and are very disappointed about it. They want to stay. I WISH. My pictures of the circus were not the greatest but you will be able to view them all on snapfish!!!

Literature.....errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I believe I am going to get my very first failing grade since my college career started three years ago. Yes, it would be in literature, how am I supposed to know what some poet means when he writes a bunch of crap. They should say what they mean and be done with it none of the sonnets and stupid mixed meaning crap.....duh!!! I got my first D on a test yesterday and then a C on the next section of it, talk about suck. I do not get the crap and where and when may I be using this information anyway while I am working in a pharmacy I ask...not gonna that's right. Oh yeah I can see me now speaking a bunch of sonnets to the public now. WHATEVER

I can finally blog again

Well it has been some time since my last entry because I had a log in issue. I am back now and have a lot to say. I have my kids for the summer which has been great. I got them for the whole month of June, of course minus a few days that their father had them. We have been camping, playing at the park, swimming, playing on the slip and slide, riding bikes, fishing, shopping, having Brianna's Birthday party just this past friday, going to summer school, and most of all just being together. I also had my birthday on the fifteenth. Not too many people actually remembered that it was my b-day but no big deal. I am now 28. Although I feel more like 38. It is now the last week of our vacation for june but I will have the kids again for two weeks in August, the kids are in no rush to go home and believe me neither am i to have them go home. It has been great having them with me for a long period of time again. It may not last forever but I have and will continue to be greatful for the time we do get together.

We had Brianna's birthday party last friday as i said and she had a lot of friends show up. We played pin the tail on the donkey, clothespin toss and ring toss for games, they all got to swim and play on the slip and slide. The pinata did not take long at all to be opened. I believe all the kids had a good time. I did order too big of a cake though, so we will be eating it for at least one more day. Brianna was really happy that her friends came, she had three guests that did not arrive though. Her aunt and uncle got stuck in Hannibal, MO and could not make it to the party and one girl from the trailer court was not ableto make it. Brianna kept me up until after 11pm talking about what a good party she had. I was beginning to think she would not go to sleep. She even explained to me that five year olds no longer through baby fits, I told her I would hold it to her.

As for all the kids as a whole they are all doing well. Melvin is going into the fifth grade, he has been going to summer school and enjoying it. He won first place in an essay contest over the fourth of July. He gets to read it to the community on friday at 6p. I am so very proud of him. Selena has not won anything this summer session and is not happy about it one bit, she is now in the third grade. Robert has moved up to first grade and is doing very well. He likes his new teacher this year. Brianna on the other hand has moved on to kindergarden, although she does not enjoy school like the other kids do. She likes to win prizes but that is something they do in summer school not on a regular basis during the school year. She would rather be at home than go to school. She does well though.

As for me and mark, we are doing just fine. getting ready to finally pay off our residence and make plans to buy some land next spring. We are working on getting some remodeling done that has been planned for some time now. I am taking summer classes to speed the process along, I would like to graduate by next spring. I am fully looking forward to having a job in my chosen profession (pharmacy tech). At least when I go to work I will know that I am making the kind of money I am meant to. Which in turn means bigger and better things for my family also.

Well i guess that is all for now will update again soon
