Brianna was a flower girl!!!

I did not get to have the opportunity to see brianna first hand as a flower girl but she sure was cute. I chose not to attend the wedding because I now only hav th Jones last name and to me that does not entitle me a right to attend a family wedding or any other event for that matter. I received these photos from my ex father in law the other day and I just had to share them with my faithful readers. Yeah that would be you Tracy!!!! Brianna did a wonderful job.

Missing The Kids

I am so missing having the kids with me. The month of June was great and kind of spoiled me to seeing the kids on a regular basis, now I am just sitting here waiting for August to hurry up. I have two more weeks. I try to call them but cannot get through sometimes which irritates me. So much for not putting restrictions or limitations on my access. The Fair strrts tomorrow so I know the kids will be busy doing that everyday for the next week, I was hoping to reach them beforehand. I do not plan on going to that fair it is very rare of an occasion that I do go. Mainly it is if I have to take someone I take care of. I do not enjoy being in crowds like that and everytime I go I have to see an EX, either mine or Mark's and the dirty looks just get old. If mark's happens to make a comment, there isn't much to stop me from knocking the fat cow on her ass. I have to work overnight shifts on the best days to go anyway so ther is no point in going for something I would not enjoy anyway.

We have finally completed the girl's room. I am so excited for them to see their new room. I hope they will like the changes that we have finally had time to complete. We painted the room antique white (Not the color I had originally chosen but it turned out better than I expected), rebuilt the closet into the wall (which gave the girls more room), and put new carpet in (which was in desperate need of replacing after Brianna got her hands on her sisters nail polish). All in all I am very pleased with the room and am now looking forward to the renovations we have panned for the boys' room. I still can not wait until we add on the three room addition but these changes are good to get out of the way also. When the addition is added, the room the girl's have now will be Brianna's and the boy's room will be Melvin's. I can not wait until they each have their own room so they can stop fighting over belongings and getting into each others stuff.

Melvin- Essay winner for Kirksville's Ray Miller Elemetary School (Fifth Grade)!!!

Melvin was very nervous being a winner of his school's essay contest, because he had to read his essay in front of the community at the Court House. I was very proud of him!!!!!!

Fourth Of July Parade

I went to the fourth of July parade mostly because Melvin was in it since he won the essay contest at his school for the fifth graders. Not a bad parade, it was actually better than ones they have had in the past.
